Our beloved mother and sister, Victoriana Adelina (Velasquez) Duran, 84, passed away December 8,

2023 at Evergreen Nursing Home in Alamosa Colorado.

Victoriana (Vickie) was born to Rosenaldo Nicodemus and Francisquita (Vigil) Velasquez on June 11,

1939, in Antonito Colorado.

Victoriana's deep faith and love for Jehovah as one of Jehovah's Witness gave her great strength and joy

in this world. She was a very strong and independent woman with a generous, kind, and humble spirit.

Victoriana loved being a grandma and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Victoriana

was very much a people person. She especially enjoyed visiting with others and sharing the good news

of the gospel.

Victoriana is survived by her daughters Rebecca Gomez of Alamosa, Lourdes Fleming of Alamosa, Lavern

El-Mourad of Alamosa; her sons Mike Velasquez of Alamosa and Bob Velasquez of Denver, CO; her

sisters Benita Prieto of Ohio and Sandra (William) Lozano of Arizona, her grandchildren Ken Paul Gomez,

Crystal Fleming, Gabrielle Fleming, Spencer Potter, Benjamin Wuckert, Jennifer Rivera, Mychael

Velasquez, Alexis Albert, Sydnie and Joshua (Joseph S.) Velasquez.

Victoriana is preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother Arthur Velasquez, sister Martha

Trujillo, her grandchild Beverly Gomez and former husband Ernesto Duran.

Victoriana's family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen Nursing home for their kind care and

attention while Vickie was with them.

Cremation was chosen and a memorial will be scheduled at a later date. Rogers Family Mortuary is in
