Tyler Josias
Tucker
October 19, 1986 – February 20, 2025
My husband Tyler Tucker passed away Thursday evening.
He was the most giving person I've ever known. Even if he didn't know where he was going to sleep the next night, he was always happy to buy a homeless person a meal or help a friend.
He had the kind of friends that would drop everything for him, because he would do the same for them.
During his parents' struggles during their last years, he gave them the best care he could, seeing his Dad through hospice and making sure his Mom always knew he was there for her and felt as involved as possible in his life.
He loved his friends, his church family, and his family-in-law. His anxiety never let him hold his baby nieces and nephews, but he adored them, and he made sure his young siblings-in-law and oldest niece and nephew learned to fish.
One of our first dates was a fishing trip. Tyler loved fishing, anywhere, any time of year. He also loved small game hunting, and wrote a couple articles on grouse hunting.
He always planned to improve his big game hunting skills, but he loved seeing a big bull elk or muley buck alive more than he would've liked to shoot one.
His beloved bull yak also enjoyed his love of animals. Big Daddy, Martha, and Tyler's favorite cow, 47, could always count on him to offer up treats, no matter how sick or short on time he was that day.
Goats never lost their place as his favorite, though. His billies and Boers held a special place in his heart along with his cats, Obi and Leia.
His memorial will be held at 10am Tuesday the 25th at Cornerstone Church of Christ in Monte Vista, followed by interment at the Alamosa cemetery at 1pm.
