Tina Elizabeth Lopez, resident of Antonito Co passed away March 3, 2026 in Alamosa Co. Tina was born on June 14, 1953, in Antonito, CO, to the late Ray Ruybal and Alfreda Skubica Ruybal.
Tina's early life as a home maker was energetic caring for her four children and later she devoted herself to the care of others in the community, primarily as a caregiver for the elderly, and a custodian to the community. Most notable, was a close friend and caretaker to Julie Smith, the late occupant of the famous Indiana Jones Bed and Breakfast in Antonito, CO.
Tina enjoyed socializing with people, creating an environment for family and friends to gather together, cook, and enjoy each other's company. She's known for her meticulous attention to detail and hospitality.
Tina's immediate family: Felix Lopez (deceased), and 4 children. Stephanie of NM, Robert of CA, Tomas (deceased* see below), and Phillip (Karen) of TX.
Tina's extended family include, father Ray (deceased), Alfreda mother (deceased), sister Josie Ruybal deceased, brother Johnny (Kathy wife), sister Verna ( husband Alfred), brother Jorge (wife Patsy), sister Marie, brother Rodney (wife Loretta), sister (Rayjean deceased), sister RubyAnn, sister Glenda, sister Brenda (deceased). Grandchildren: Samantha, Nicholas, Luis, Emiliano, Isabella, Cassandra, Phillip, and Ethan. Great grandchildren: Emma, Levi, Aria, and Adan.

Tina's son Tomas Ramon Lopez passed away Oct 2020 during Covid. As a result, his celebration of life was not realized. As such, we are also combining his Obituary and Mass.
Tomas Ramon Lopez
Born Aug 15th, 1977 in La Jara, CO, and raised in Romeo CO. Tomas was an independent thinker, free rider, had a philosophical mindset, was an environmentalist by nature and a water/land conversationalist; in short, Tomas stood on principles. He also enjoyed expressing his welding talent in the form of metal art fabrication..
Tomas created environments where people wanted to engage in. Tomas had an affinity to animals, life, philosophy, art, science, and physics. He cared deeply for them. He would sacrifice his own self for them. All life, regardless of nature, was important to him and in high regard. Tomas has the utmost respect of his siblings and they are intent on caring on his likeness.
