Obituary

Theresa April O'Haver, born on April 1, 1962, in Kettering, Ohio, passed away on March 30, 2026, in Sanford, Colorado, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and thoughtful care for others.

Theresa was a woman whose heart was as open as her smile. She was loved by all who knew her and was known for being giving, non-judgmental, and deeply considerate of the people around her. She had a way of speaking honestly while never holding anything against anyone, and those who knew her appreciated both her sincerity and her steady presence. She was kind and very strong mentally, and she carried herself with a quiet strength that inspired those fortunate enough to be in her life.

For more than 10 years, Theresa worked as a waitress, a role she absolutely loved. She took pride in serving others and made every effort to ensure that people were cared for and had enough to eat. Her natural warmth and attentiveness made her well suited to that work, and she treated everyone she met with respect and genuine concern. Her life reflected the same spirit of service and compassion that she brought to her work each day.

Theresa is survived by her children, Christina Joyce and her husband Michael of Sanford, Timothy O'Haver and his wife Martina of Tennessee, Lauren Ottoway and her husband Matthew of Florida, and Bridget Millhan and her husband Jonathan of California. She is also survived by her sister, Lora Raines of Georgia, and by her beloved grandchildren, Adam, Alanna, and Elliott. She also leaves behind her cat and five dogs who were part of her daily life and brought her comfort and companionship.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her partner Richard Linton, her sister, Brenda Witting, and her cousin, Billy. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life, and she carried her love for family with her always.

Theresa will be remembered for the goodness she shared so freely, the strength she showed in every season of life, and the care she gave so naturally to others. Her family and friends will forever cherish the many ways she made life brighter, fuller, and more meaningful. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
