Tamara Kaye (Moore) Stevens, fondly known as Tammy, passed away peacefully at her home in Monte Vista, Colorado, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family on September 9, 2026. Born on January 10, 1961, in Del Norte, Colorado, Tammy was the cherished daughter of the late Richard (Dick) and Karlene Moore. She was predeceased by her parents, her infant sister Lorraine, grandparents Harold and Maxine Moore, Karl and Verna Myers, and her dear friends Ted and Barbra Slade. 

Tammy led a life filled with love, strength, and selflessness. Her journey began in Del Norte, where she graduated from Del Norte High School in 1979. During her high school years, Tammy was a celebrated athlete, earning numerous awards. She was an All-State Volleyball Spike in 1976 and 1978 and a State Champion in the 880 Medley Relay in 1977. 

She married her beloved husband, Rory Stevens, on September 25, 2015, in Alamosa, Colorado, and together they built a life centered around family and love. Tammy is survived by her devoted husband, Rory, her loving (Winnie Dog) Callie Mae who reside in Monte Vista, Colorado. She leaves behind her loving daughter Kristen and son-in-law Andrew, as well as her treasured grandchildren Nathan and Naylie Velasquez, all of Del Norte, Colorado.

 Tammy's siblings, Norman (Lyndel) Moore of Farmington, NM, Brad (Stacy) Moore of Alamosa, CO, Jaime (Jeff) Wilson of Center, CO, and JD (Joni) Moore of Quincy, CA, will forever cherish the memories they shared. Her close friends, Shari (Mike) Oliver of Center, CO, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless others whose lives she touched, will remember her warmth and generosity. 

A woman of many talents and passions, Tammy loved crafts, bowling, and woodworking. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Known for her strong, caring, and genuine nature, Tammy was never afraid to speak her mind. Her strength was matched only by the boundless love she gave to those around her, never asking for anything in return.

 A celebration of Tammy's life will be held at the New Life Fellowship Church, 520 7th Street, Del Norte, CO on September 26th at 10am. There will be a dinner following the service at Tammy’s house, 2513 E County Road 3 N, Monte Vista, CO 81144. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice del Valle and nurses Laura and Bonnie for their compassionate care.

 Tamara Kaye (Moore) Stevens touched countless lives with her love, strength, and unwavering spirit. Her legacy will continue to inspire and comfort those who were fortunate enough to know her.
