Sue Kechter,67 passed away peacefully in the family home surrounded by her loving family. She was Born on April 13, 1959, to Charles Gail and Marilyn (Slingerland) Owsley. She married the love of her life Dennis "Denny" Kechter on August 14, 1982 in her parents' home in Alamosa, Colorado. Sue lived a vibrant life enriched by her love for family and her many passions.

Sue was a dedicated mother to her two children, Leah (Michael) Loman, and Tony (Crystal) Kechter, who continue to carry her legacy of love and devotion. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Brooke, Tyler, Addyson, Zhyan and Nellie, who brought her endless joy and for whom she delighted in spoiling whenever possible. Sue leaves behind her beloved siblings, Charles (Linda) Owsley, Barbara (John) Steffens, and Mark (Reinie) Owsley, whose bonds she valued deeply. Sue was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Throughout her life, Sue cultivated a passion for filling her home with vibrant flowers that mirrored her bright spirit. She found joy in decorating, shopping for treasures, and spending quiet evenings sitting at the table doing puzzles and solving crosswords, activities that brought her much delight.

Cremation was performed at the Rogers Family Mortuary Crematory in Alamosa, and Sue's family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and cherish her memory at Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 10 a.m.
