Steven Charles Butterick was born in New York City, NY on the 18th February 1947. Son of Joseph J. Butterick and Blanche Veronica Haas (Bunny). He had three brothers (Eugene, Art and Skippy). He attended college at the University of California in Los Angeles, CA and received his engineering degree. He married Ursula Price in 1972 and became father to five children (Gilbert, Dana, Valerie, David and Sondra). He remarried later in life to Donna Tyrrell, and became father to four additional children (Shelby, David, Jennifer and Amy). His hobbies included playing on the computer, fishing, playing cards, and smoking cigarettes.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Blanche, his brothers Eddie and Skippy, his daughter Sondra and first wife Ursula.

Survived in death by his brother Art Butterick, son Gilbert shepherd and wife Raquel Oros, Son Dana Shepherd and wife Veronica Shepherd, son David Shepherd, daughter Valarie Shepherd, son Shelby Tyrrell, daughter Jennifer Terrell and husband Harol Terrell, son David Tyrrell, daughter Amy Terrell and husband and several grandchildren and great grand-children
