Obituary

Sean Lee Roberts, beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away on August 16, 2026, at the age of 29.

When we remember Sean, we will remember the many things that made him uniquely himself. One of the things he loved most was his cats, who brought him great joy and companionship. Sean was deeply loyal to his family and friends, and those fortunate enough to know him knew they could count on him.

Sean had a wonderful sense of humor and loved telling jokes and making people laugh. He was talented at video games and animation, and he had a deep appreciation for movies. He was an avid movie critic and enjoyed sharing his thoughts and opinions. Sean was also an avid reader, with a particular love for fantasy literature. He often spoke about writing a book of his own, carrying with him the ambition and imagination of someone who wanted to create stories for others to enjoy.

Sean worked as a night auditor at the Holiday Inn Express in Alamosa, where he was known as part of the community. He was a person who found his own rhythm in life and was comfortable in the quiet hours of the night.

Sean also had an amazing voice. He shared that gift on several occasions, and those who had the opportunity to hear him will always remember it. He had a genuine love for the theater and appreciated the creativity, storytelling, and emotion that came with it.

One of Sean’s greatest ambitions was to teach literature, allowing him to share his love of books and stories with others. His love of movies, animation, theater, and storytelling reflected the creative world he carried within him.

Sean will be remembered not only for the things he loved, but for the person he was—a loyal, humorous, intelligent, and caring young man who brought his own special presence into the lives of those around him. His family and friends will cherish the memories they shared with him and will deeply miss his laughter, his humor, his voice, and the unique personality that made Sean who he was.

Sean was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Buhr and Donnell Roberts, his grandmother, Ora Lee Roberts, and his uncle, Roger Roberts.

He is survived by his parents, Richard and Doris Roberts of Alamosa; his sisters, Megan Carr of Texas and Melissa (Adam) Burns of Alamosa; his aunts and uncles, Cindy (Jim) Savage of Alamosa, John Buhr of Alamosa, Donna Osterholt of Casper, Wyoming, and David (Nilda) Roberts of Indiana; and his cousins, Michael (Katie) Osterholt of Idaho, Brandi (Alec) Olson of Wyoming, Shanna Savage of Alaska, James (Deja) Savage of Colorado, Brian Roberts, Brandy Unger Roberts, Abby Roberts, and Lori (James) Hey.

He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Cassius, Peyton, Braxton, and Callan, along with extended family and many friends who loved him dearly.

Though Sean’s life was far too short, the memories he leaves behind will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
