Longtime Alamosa resident Ruby Theresa Medina, 69, passed away on November 15, 2022. She was born on December 9, 1952 in Pueblo, Colorado to Joseph L. and Viola (Lobato) Romero. Ruby recently retired from a long career in retail. In her free time, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially treasured her time with her grandchildren.

Ruby is survived by her children Lorinda (Mike) Birkmeyer, Michael Medina and Eric Medina, her grandchildren, Nekka, Marissa, Danielle, Jennifer and Adrienne, her great grandchildren, Juliet, Cora, Nyla, Cayson and Noah as well as her siblings, Laverne (Jim) Valdez, Ruth (Gilbert) Garcia, Patricia Romero, Joseph (Josette) Romero and her beloved dog Shadow as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Orlinda Keeton, her grandson Degan Medina and her late husband Michael Medina.

A celebration of her life will start with a Rosary at 9:30 am on Tuesday November 22, 2022. Followed immediately by a Memorial Mass beginning at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. To express condolences, please visit www.rogersfunerals.com
