Robert W. Oringdulph, age 77, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026. He was born on October 2, 1948, and was a long-time resident of Alamosa, Colorado. He grew up in Mesita, Colorado and graduated High school from San Luis High school.

Rob earned his bachelor's degree in history from Adams State College (University). Throughout his life, he held a variety of occupations and was proud of the many people and communities he had the opportunity to serve. He worked as a financial advisor with Edward Jones, worked for Woolworth WoolCo, and was also employed by Colorado Aggregate Company. He also shared his knowledge and love of learning as a teacher in Antonito, Colorado.

Rob was deeply involved in his community and generously gave his time and talents to many organizations. His memberships and service included the Boys & Girls Club, Adams State Alumni Association, AURA Board, Homeless Coalition, Alamosa Tourism Board, and the Historic Preservation Council.

Rob was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a Bishop for five years and also served as Second Counselor in the Stake Presidency. His faith and service to others were an important part of his life, and he touched many lives through his dedication to his church and community.

Rob married the love of his life, Susan L. Morgan, on December 4, 1970, in Sanford, Colorado. They were sealed in the Manti Temple September 1, 1972. Together they built a loving family and shared 65 years together. Rob enjoyed traveling and making memories with his family and loved ones.

Rob is survived by his wife, Susan; his children, Mandy (Darrell) Jackson, Wendy (Andrew) Kelson, Shane (Kieve) Oringdulph, Travis (Mary) Oringdulph, Sean Oringdulph, and Courtney Oringdulph; his sister, Gloria (Ernest) Wemple; and his grandchildren, Chad, Ian (Rylee), Sydney, Brant, Ansley, Garrett, Kennedy, Lincoln, Hayden, Cye, Bryce, Lena, Barrett, Lilly, Emma, and Liam. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will cherish his memory.

Rob was preceded in death by his parents, George “Jick” Major Oringdulph and Hildreth Emmaline Earl; and his brother, Major (Sharon) Oringdulph.

A visitation will be held Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa, Colorado.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center 927 Weber. A visitation will also be held at the church beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the service.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Sanford Cemetery.
