Robert Chapman Hinds, known affectionately as Bob to his friends and family, went to be with his Lord on the 9th of November, 2025, at the age of 85, in Alamosa, Colorado. Born on the 6th of November, 1940, he was the son of Hubert and Darylene (Jones) Hinds. He was a devoted husband and father. Bob is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Linda D. (Belt) Hinds; his children, Charlotte (Dale) Manhart of Grainfield, KS, Tracy (Jay) Moore of Farmington, N.M., and Robb Hinds of Colorado Springs, CO; his cherished grandchildren LeAnn (Jason) Ostmeyer, Sarah (Eric) Jarvis, David (Katie) Manhart, Kendyl (Matt) Simons, and Austin (Nicole) Moore; his 12 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Gary and John (and wife Jean) Hinds, alongside their respective families.

Bob was known for his generosity and kindness. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He enjoyed getting to know people from all walks of life. His absence will be felt deeply by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Bob discovered beekeeping, a vocation he loved, as well as his soul mate when he met his beautiful wife, Linda. He was a fun-loving family-focused man. He enjoyed fly fishing and exploring the area with his family. He would often use simple objects from nature to create interesting and unique art. He enjoyed sharing his discoveries and creations with others.

Cremation was performed at the Rogers Family Mortuary Crematory in Alamosa. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Rogers Family Mortuary, 205 State Avenue, in Alamosa. Interment will follow services in the La Jara Cemetery.
