Longtime Monte Vista resident Priscilla Lorraine "Rainy" Padia, 65, passed away on February 5, 2021. She was born on January 22, 1956 in Agua Ramon, Colorado to Augustin "Gus" and Mabel (Vigil) Padia. Rainy loved helping people and was a Certified Nurse Assistant at the Monte Vista Estates for 14 years. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, carpentry, cooking, reading, sewing, crocheting, dancing, singing and will always be remembered for being independent and strong willed. She is survived by her mother Mabel Padia, her children, LeAnn (Andrew) Chavez of Arvada, Colorado, Yvonne (Omar) Torres of El Paso, Texas, Jason Samora of Sterling, Colorado, Lee Padia of Monte Vista and Shannon (Matthew) Padia of Manassa, her grandchildren, Naila Torres, Jorge Torres, Kadin Padia, Cale Jaramillo, Luke Chavez and Jude Chavez as well as numerous other extended family members. Rainy was preceded in death by her father Gus Padia, her brother Manuel Padia as well as her grandparents Ricardo and Hilda Fresquez. Cremation was selected and a private family memorial service will be held. Interment of ashes will take place in the Del Norte Cemetery.
