Phyllis Eileen
Kline
September 12, 1935 – October 28, 2025
Phyllis Eileen Kline, a woman of vibrant spirit and joyful heart, graced this world with her presence when she was born on September 12, 1935, in Monte Vista, Colorado. Phyllis blessed all who knew her with unwavering warmth and wisdom and passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, in Alamosa, Colorado. Known by her friends and family for her passionate spirit, she leaves behind a legacy of love and determination that will be remembered by all.
The daughter of Hugh Boss and Ruby McDonald Boss, Phyllis grew up in a nurturing home where the seeds of her enduring strength were sown. As a young woman, she committed her heart to Alfred Kline in her native Monte Vista on a winter's day in 1954. Their marriage was a partnership of affection and mutual respect that flourished for 65 years until Alfred's passing in 2019. Together, they guided their family with compassion, instilling in them values that have stood the test of time.
Phyllis is lovingly survived by her devoted son, Jeff Kline of Alamosa; her adored grandchildren, Ashley, Lindsey, Kyle, Nikki, Kristen, and Joseph; and her cherished great-grandchildren, James, Julia, Joseph, Jericko, Jaxson, Kameron, Kaitlyn, Briana, and Jordan. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends also feel the profound loss of Phyllis's passing, though they find comfort in a treasure trove of joyous memories shared.
Her humble beginnings in rural Colorado never constrained Phyllis's ambitions. She built a notable career at the 12th Judicial District Attorney's office, where her diligence and dedication were much appreciated by her colleagues and those she served. She later transitioned to work as a receptionist where her exceptional people skills shone at the banking office, until she was able to enjoy retirement.
A woman of many talents and interests, Phyllis reveled in the simple pleasures of life like sewing her own creations, immersing herself in the pages of a good book, and sharing her love of cooking with her family. She cherished moments spent deftly marking cards at BINGO and solving intricate puzzles in her favorite puzzle books.
Cremation was performed at the Rogers Family Mortuary Crematory in Alamosa and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. To leave online condolences, tributes, and words of comfort for Phyllis' family, please visit www.RogersFunerals.com
