Obituary

Alamosa resident Norma J. Landen, 84, went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2022 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa.

Norma was born in Lubbock, Texas on November 11, 1938 to Turner McMillan and Thelma Bell McMillan. She married the love of her life, John Landen, in Taos, New Mexico on November 26, 1956. They enjoyed over 66 years together.

Norma loved the Lord. She enjoyed reading and working on puzzles. Early in her life she quilted many items for herself and family. She loved spending time working in her flower garden and took great pride in her Iris flowers.

Norma is survived by her husband John Landen of the family home; her children Jill (Keith) Ruberson of Plainfield, Indiana, and Todd (Kelly) Landen of Delta, Colorado; her grandchildren Robin Hemrick, Drew Ruberson, Ryan Landen, Chelsea Landen, Peyton Schuster, and Logan Schuster; her great-grandchildren Andy Landen, Dax Landen, Lily Landen, and Milo Landen; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Murial McMillan.

Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Calvary Bible Chapel, 7160 Brush Lane in Alamosa. Interment of ashes will take place prior the services in the Del Norte Cemetery.
