Longtime Monte Vista resident Melissa Renee Chacon, 46, passed away on November 12, 2021. She was born on October 20, 1975 in Denver, Colorado to Ray Chacon and Darlene Roybal. Melissa graduated from Monte Vista High School. She enjoyed the Broncos and the Av's, spending time with her family and was a very compassionate, loving, and happy person.

She is survived by her son Dylan Fair, her father Ray Chacon, her mother and step-father, Darlene and Max Sims, her brother, Brian Chacon as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Melissa was preceded in death by her sister Cynthia "Cindy" Chacon, her grandparents, Floyd and Lucy Chacon and Fermin and Rose Roybal as well as the father of her son Jeff Fair.

Cremation was selected and a Rosary service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday November 18, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista with a Memorial Mass following at 10:00 am on Friday November 19, 2021 also at the church.
