Longtime Alamosa resident Mary Theresa Jackson, 73, passed away on February 17, 2022. She was born in Monte Vista, Colorado on April 15, 1948 to Ben and Alyce (Trujillo) Chavez. She married Thomas Jackson. Theresa enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading, a getaway to the casino, cooking and above all spending time with her family, especially her special grandchildren, Jennifer, Danielle (Michael), Vanessa, Jose, Jaidyn, Xavion, Jayce, Kamari and Olivia and great grandchildren, Emi, Elli, Mikey, Abri and Aniyah.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Jackson, her children, Diane Jackson, Yolanda Jackson and Tamara (Keith) Guzman, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her brother Danny Chavez and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Alyce Chavez.

Cremation was selected and a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday February 26, 2022 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa.
