Longtime resident Marvin Lee Davis, 89, passed away on October 19, 2023 at the Parkview Hospital in Pueblo Colorado.

Marvin was born on December 20, 1933 to PH "Bud" and Ethel (Coop) Davis in Center, Colorado. Marvin married Helen Anderson on August 29, 1954 at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Monte Vista Colorado. They were married for 69 years, and were able to raise a family and travel.

Marvin enjoyed being a farm machinery salesman for most of his life throughout the San Luis Valley, and enjoyed all the people he came in contact with. He was an active board member of Tri-County Senior Citizen, a former Jaycee of Monte Vista, a member and President of the Kiwanis Club of Center, and his entire life an active member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Monte Vista. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was known for always having a full creel at Santa Maria Reservoir.

Marvin is survived by his wife Helen, his children; Janet Spruce of Mansfield Texas, Daniel and (Barbara) Davis, of Monte Vista Colorado, and Cindy Davis of Brighton, Colorado, 8 grandchildren, 5 great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his brother Leo (Jane) Davis, and brother-in-law Ken (Dallas) Anderson.

Marvin is preceded in death by both of his parents, his parents-in-law Harry and Ruth Anderson, his sister and brother-in-law Betty and Wayne Jefferson, his brother-in-law Wayne Anderson, his infant son Stephen, and his son-in-law Bill Spruce.

A viewing will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 12:15 p.m. at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Monte Vista. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2023 at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Monte Vista Co. Interment to follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to MV Ambulance or St. Peter's Lutheran Church toward youth activities.
