June 28, 1952 – October 12, 2025
Mario Gamboa Espinoza, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, departed this life peacefully on October 12, 2025, in San Acacio, Colorado, at the age of 73. Born on June 28, 1952, in San Juan de Guadalupe, Durango, Mexico, Mario was a beacon of joy and the source of countless cherished family memories. He was welcomed into the world by his loving parents, Anselmo Gamboa Cabral and Micaela Espinoza Rodriguez, who, along with ten of his siblings, have preceded him in death.
Throughout his life, Mario was known for his love of the outdoors and the satisfaction he found in working with both machines and nature as a talented mechanic and a devoted sheep herder. His skilled hands and problem-solving mind were well-regarded in his community, where he also took great delight in being actively involved with forming bonds and friendships that stood the test of time.
A jovial and playful joker, Mario will be fondly remembered for his love of playing cards and the laughter he shared with those around the table. His passion for hunting antler sheds in the company of his son is a pastime treasured and reflected upon with warmth by his family.
Mario's legacy of love continues through his devoted wife, Tavita Robles, who shared his life and love in San Acacio, Colorado; his cherished children, Laura Lorena Gamboa, Araceli Guerrero, Amalia Gamboa, Mario Gamboa, and Juan Jesus Gamboa; and his adoring grandchildren, Yuridia, Erika, Giovahnie, Ezahir, Rahenary, Cindy, Karen, Jesus, Omar, Sergio, Andrea, and Pedro, all of whom brought immense pride and happiness to his life.
He also leaves behind three siblings, whose shared history and bonds of sibling affection will remain a comfort to them and a testament to Mario's roots and the family from which he hailed. Each family member carries with them the loving, kind, and friendly spirit Mario exuded, qualities that made him a treasured friend and a pillar in his community.
