Longtime resident of Alamosa, Lucille Martinez 88, passed away in Colorado Springs on June 25, 2022. She was born on September 27, 1933 in Alamosa and was the daughter of Abedon and Manuelita Martinez. She worked most of her life as a clerk with the Social Security Administration. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa and also sang in the choir for a period of time. She also enjoyed gambling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one sister Leonora Martinez of Albuquerque, New Mexico and sister in law Bertha Martinez of Colorado Springs.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Manuel, George, Ruben and Fred Martinez and sister Pauline Vigil. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services for Lucille will be Friday July 1, 2022 with a rosary at 9:30AM with the funeral mass immediately following the rosary at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa, Colorado. Interment will be at the Alamosa Cemetery. A reception will be held following the burial.
