Longtime Center resident Leslie Jean Mortensen, 74, passed away on July 21, 2022. She was born on March 11, 1948 in Bassett, Nebraska to Wayne and Bonnie (Davis) Hutchison. Leslie married Randy Mortensen on May 29, 1971 in Alamosa CO. She enjoyed farming, gardening and gambling but above all else, she cherished her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and an "above average intelligence." She truly loved life and never gave up.

Leslie is survived by her children, Tharin (Chris) Mortensen and Shannon Mortensen as well as her grandchildren, Collin Mortensen, Jacob Mortensen, Patrick Mortensen, Alyssa Mortensen and Ashley Mortensen.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday August 19, 2022 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. Interment will follow services in the Alamosa Cemetery.
