Obituary

Manassa resident Kyler Clay Jackson, 26, died December 2, 2022, at the Conejos County Hospital in La Jara.

Kyler was born in Alamosa, Colorado, on March 21, 1996, the son of Clay P. Jackson and Robyn R. Valentine Jackson. He married the love of his life, Aunna Jackson, On August 6, 2021, in Rexburg, Idaho.

Kyler obtained his associates degree in Agriculture Business and was working toward his bachelor's degree. He is remembered as being a helpful, caring, patient person with a joyful attitude and was tolerant and very slow to get angry. He enjoyed telling stories and visiting with people. Kyler always had a deep love for ranching and cattle he gained from his father. He aways held his parents so close to his heart and wanted to do anything he could to make them proud. He was working toward one day having his own herd with his brother, Thad. Kyler truly was a cowboy from his first breath to his last. Kyler also had a good sense of humor and enjoyed being a prankster and telling jokes, he always wanted to put a smile on everyone's face. He was an entrepreneur and came up with many ideas and was a hard worker who was driven and always worked until the job was done. Kyler had a love of animals; especially, his doggies, Moxi and Scout. Kyler enjoyed working with horses as well, whether simply riding, or breaking them (always for someone else). He lived fearlessly and never took a moment for granted. He was an appreciative man and gave his all to everyone around him without ever needing a reason or anything in return. Kyler loved his wife endlessly and so purely, and the love they shared was one that will continue to be unmatched.

Kyler was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a full-time mission in the Bentonville, Arkansas, area and he cherished every memory he had with the people he was able to serve and the lifelong friendships he was able to form with his companions.

He is survived by his wife, Aunna Hill Jackson of Manassa, CO; his parents, Clay and Robyn Jackson of Sanford; his brothers, Ryan (Sarah) Jackson of Pueblo, CO and Thad Jackson of Sanford, CO; his parents-in-law, Claudia and DeVel Hill of Driggs, Idaho; his grandparents, Paul Jackson of Hyrum, UT, Kathy Jackson of Sanford, CO, and Kirt and Cynthia Valentine of Sanford, CO; his sister-in-law, Kayla and Ben Beard; two nephews, Treyden and Ryker Beard and his niece, Jeslyn Beard; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of extended family and friends.

Kyler is preceded in death by his aunt, Amy Jackson, and step father-in-law, Teddy Warner.
