Korey Lavelle Albritton, 29 years old, passed away on October 18, 2021 in Alamosa, Colorado. He was born August 28, 1992 in West Monroe, Louisiana, the son of Scott Albritton and Debbie Prestridge Rey.
Korey graduated from West Ouachita High School in 2011. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served as a military policeman for 5 years, including a tour in the Philippines. He then contracted in Afghanistan as an armed guard for 1 year. He moved to Alamosa in May 2021 to pursue his career as a paramedic. He was enrolled and attending classes at Trinidad State Junior College located in Alamosa, Colorado.
Korey loved and cherished his family, especially his nieces, more than anything in life. He never met a stranger and touched each person he met in a positive way. He always left people smiling. He was dearly loved.
He is survived by his father, Scott Albritton (Belinda Albritton), stepsister Brooke Holcomb, mother Debbie Rey, sisters Crystal Maxwell (Hank Maxwell), Kayla Albritton, nieces Scarlett, Leia, and Evie Maxwell and Ryleigh LaRue, stepsister Mary Jo Rey, stepbrother Alex Rey, grandparents Phillip and Zena Prestridge, Joyce Albritton, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
