Kenneth W. “Ken” “Kenny” Satterthwaite passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, at the age of 69. He was born on January 10, 1957.

Ken was a longtime resident of San Luis, Colorado, and formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a faithful member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Lincoln, where his faith and values helped guide him throughout his life.

Ken enjoyed the outdoors and found great pleasure in fishing and hunting. He especially cherished spending time with his family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come. Known for his calm demeanor and caring nature, Ken was always available to those who needed him. Whether offering a helping hand, a listening ear, or words of encouragement, he could always be counted upon. His kindness, quiet strength, and generous spirit touched the lives of many.

One of Ken’s greatest joys was celebrating the Fourth of July, his favorite holiday. He looked forward to gathering with loved ones and enjoying the traditions and festivities that made the day special.

He is survived by his daughter, Lindsay (Tracy) Mackey; granddaughter, Layla Mackey; brother, Jerry (Donna) Satterthwaite; sister, Nancy (Steve) Cannon; brother-in-law, Jim Shepard; and numerous extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Annabelle Jean Rasmussen and William Samuel Satterthwaite and his sister, Cindy Shepard.

Services will be announced at a later date and will be held in Lincoln, Nebraska. Ken will be remembered for his gentle heart, unwavering kindness, and dedication to his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
