Alamosa resident Kathryn Parsons, age 75, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at her home in Alamosa. Kathryn was born in Alamosa, Colorado on Saturday, June 15, 1946 to Amos and Margaret (Holmes) Shawcroft. She married Jerome Parsons on Sunday, March 7, 1965 and they celebrated 48 years of marriage together until his passing on May 7, 2013. Kathryn worked most of her life for various Federal agencies finishing her career with the Bureau of Reclamation. She loved spending time with her family, and her special furry friends, Rocky, Milo and Zoe. She was an excellent homemaker, cook and gardener. Kathryn is survived by; her children Jeff (Kerry) Parsons of Durango, Blake (Barbara) Parsons of Alamosa and Mark (Jessica) Parsons of Bayfield; her grandchildren Kaitlyn, Lindsi, Amanda, Miranda, Samantha, Sadie, Mahlon, Haley, David Denhardt, Tyler and Rowan Parsons; brothers; Bruce Shawcoft of Castle Rock, Coloroado, Billy Shawcroft of Pueblo, Colorado, and sister Judy Kelloff of Fountain Hills, Arizona, as well as three great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Her parents, her granddaughter Jaidyn, her sister Darlene Abernathy, brothers Danny Shawcroft and, Jerry Shawcroft preceded her in death. Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the family residence 11440 No Name Lane, Alamosa, Colorado.
