Obituary

Native Manassa resident Joe Medina died December 8th in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He served in the Army for six years and retired from civil service at Fort Carson after thirty-six years. He loved to fish and travel. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Judy, who was his high school sweetheart. His sons Rick (Debbie) Medina, Scott (Stephanie) Medina, and daughter Sandra (Bob) Travis. His grandchildren Resha (Sean) Coffey, Tarin (J.R.) Loesel, Ryan (Crystal) Medina, Rachel Travis, Matthew Travis, Brandon Medina, and Jarrod (Ireland) Medina. His great grandchildren Kael, Jasmine, Adley, Ryker, Archer, Jupiter, and Raina. His four brothers Bernard (Clorenda) Medina, Lupe (Lucy) Medina, Manuel (Lita) Medina, Ubaldo (Patty) Medina, and five sisters Elva (Otto) Espinosa, Donna (Pat) Martinez, Rose (August) Martinez, Gloria (Oscar) Villanueva, and Debbie (Mohammed) Magled.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Alfirio and Elsie Medina, brother John Medina, and sister Mary Medina Davis.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday December 14, 2022 at the Manassa-Romeo Cemetery with military honors. To express condolences to the family, please visit www.rogersfunerals.com
