Alamosa resident John Leo Seymour, 85, passed away at home June 8, 2022 in Alamosa, Colorado. He was born to Clarence and Nadine (Meyers) Seymour in Denver, Colorado on March 29, 1937.

John was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard (retired) and enjoyed collecting rocks, coin collecting and carving wood. He was also a kite flying enthusiast and a member of the Alamosa Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 1297.

He is survived by his children Perry (Shelia) Seymour of Cotuit, Massachusetts, Vickie (Dan) Martinez of Gering, Nebraska, his siblings Carol Nash of Scottsbluff, Nebraska,, Michael Seymour of Eastlake, Colorado, Robert (Debbie) Seymour of Dacono, Colorado, Carrie Camron of Castle Rock, Colorado, his Brother - in - Law Tom Widhelm of Alamosa, Colorado as well as 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Virginia Widhelm of Alamosa, Colorado.

Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Alamosa Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 1297.
