Jessica Salazar-Simmons

Longtime Monte Vista resident Jessica Salazar-Simmons, 54, passed away on March 17, 2021. She was born in Tacoma, Washington on March 2, 1967 to Jose Modesto and Elaine Martha Salazar. Jessica loved her family, being outdoors and especially cherished time with her grandchildren and friends.

She is survived by her mother Martha Salazar, her husband Jeff Simmons, her children, Marisol (Reno Naranjo) Simmons, Zoe Simmons and Rico (Shawntel) Simmons, her grandchildren, Maricella Simmons, Mariciano Simmons, Royal Naranjo, Modesty Naranjo, Amari Simmons and Desire Naranjo as well as her siblings, Jerry Salazar, and Joey Salazar and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Jessica was preceded in death by her father and her siblings, Joya Gutierrez and Jan Salazar.

Cremation was selected and services will be held 1:30 pm July 23, 2021 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. Interment of ashes will follow services in the Monte Vista Cemetery.
