Obituary

Jennie (Bonnie) Maybeth Paulson-Peterson (Winters), 84, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was a beacon of light and positivity who left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

Born on May 6, 1941, in Alamosa, Colorado, Jennie was the cherished daughter of Wilford Glen Peterson and Jennie Amelia Paulson Peterson, who preceded her in death. The vibrant family life she cherished was also colored by the memories of her four sisters and three brothers, who went before her.

Jennie's zest for life was paralleled only by her dedication to her cherished children, Lane Winters and Keven Winters. She was a pillar of strength and love for her grandchildren, Roni Jo Thomas, Chaz Thomas, Zack Winters, and Makenzi Winters. Her influence extended beyond her immediate family to her nieces, nephews, extended family members, and numerous friends who all felt the warmth of her kind and friendly spirit.

A woman of faith, Jennie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her devotion to her church was matched by her love for music. Throughout the years, she participated in many musical activities, uplifting others with her melodic contributions and the joy that radiated from her performances. The harmony she created in song was a true reflection of the harmony she fostered in her community and family.

Jennie's adventurous soul found joy in traveling and experiencing the beauty of the countryside. These journeys were more than just trips; they were the adventures that fed her soul, brought stories to her lips, and smiles to those who were privy to her travel tales.
