On February 13th, 2025, in Mesa AZ, Jeffrey Lynn King Downs, age 78, passed away of natural causes and took her final journey home. Jeffrey was born in Albuquerque NM. on October 15th, 1946. Daughter of E. Clive King, Manassa, CO/ Gilbert AZ and Clefaine E. Reed King, Nortonville, CO/Gilbert AZ. She was surrounded by her two daughters, who are sure she was met on the other side with tears of joy to see her mom, dad, sister and nephew.
Jeffrey was a former resident of Yuma, Az, a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a graduate of Kofa High School, and attended BYU University. Growing up in Yuma, AZ Jeffrey's childhood was a beautiful time of life. Jeffrey was talented in so many areas, a dancer, artist, singer, seamstress, decorator, and amazing business women. Jeffrey enjoyed the arts, singing, musicals, movies, interior design and was an avid reader. Summers were spent with her cousins fishing, camping and enjoying the outdoors.
After she completed college, she was appointed as the general manager of American Linen & Uniform Supply, where she excelled and was the first and only female manager in the entire country for many years. If you knew Jeffrey you knew that she was a fierce businesswoman. She was quite successful, so much so that she was transferred to San Diego to take a failing plant and within 2 years turned it around to be one of the strongest linen and industrial plants performing in the entire country. Jeffrey retired from business in 2003. She spent her free time traveling and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren.
Jeffrey is survived by her daughters, Whitney (Jim) Gemmel, granddaughter, Tara Nix. Lindsey (Nino) Capitola Pollaccia, grandchildren Kyler, Kade, Kross and Kaya Pollaccia. Nephews Ben Gottspooner, and Michael Campbell, and niece, Patty Strickland Utterback.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Clive and Clefaine King, sister Dana King, and nephew Christian Gottspooner.
