Alamosa resident Isaac Howard Chavez, 55, passed away on June 13, 2024 at his residence. Born in

Taos, New Mexico on May 14, 1969, Isaac was the son of David and Gloria (Martinez) Chavez.

Isaac had a profound sense of humor and loved a good joke or story, you could always count on him to

make you laugh. He worked for Alcon Construction for many years and was a hard worker, dependable,

and very skilled at his craft. He was always proud to see what he could accomplish with his own hands.

Isaac was incredibly artistic and enjoyed drawing and making welded metal sculptures. Isaac enjoyed

spending time with his family, and he will be missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his three sons Josiah (Tausha) Chavez, Quiel Chavez and Zydon Chavez all of Alamosa;

his good friend and the mother of their children Lea Chavez, and his siblings Steve (Mindy) Chavez,

Patrisha (Jason) Rogers, Charles Benskin, Sarah (Augustas) Quintana, and Jabez Chavez all of Alamosa; his father and step-mother David (Theresa) Chavez of Alamosa; his grandchildren Koa and Kyse Chavez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Isaac is preceded in death by his mother Gloria Chavez, his brothers Ezequiel Chavez, Ismael Chavez, and

Oscar Chavez, his nephew Ivin Chavez, grandparents Manuel and Rose Martinez, and David and Estefana

Chavez.

Cremation has been chosen and there will be a memorial service Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 11 a.m. at

Rogers Family Mortuary, 205 State Avenue in Alamosa. Services will be available virtually via zoom,
