Obituary

Mrs. Helen Frances Ham, a cherished matriarch and beacon of love, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado, at the age of 92. Born on March 2, 1933, in Galax, Virginia, Helen's life was a testament to the enduring power of kindness and generosity.

Helen's journey began as the daughter of Glen and Laura (Taylor) Lineberry, and she grew up surrounded by her siblings Eugene, the late Hubert, Geraldine, Dorothy, and Doris. Helen had a hard life, but she kept her head up and kept going through all of her trials and tribulations. For many years, Helen dedicated herself to her role at the Hanes Textile Mill, where her diligence and warm spirit were well-known and appreciated by all who worked alongside her.

Upon retiring, Helen embraced the opportunity to move to Colorado to be closer to her son Wes, his wife Lisa, and their family. This move brought her immense joy, as she was able to spend precious time with her loved ones, including her grandchildren Cynthia, James (Mae), John, Emily, Ashley (Jordan), Lucas, and Amber (Rodney), as well as her adored great-grandchildren Kimberly, Paris, Kyree, Wesley, Anthony, William, Aspen and Nova. Her son Charlton Vaughan of Terlingua, Texas, also survives her, carrying forward the memories of their shared past.

Helen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her interests reflected the simplicity and beauty she found in the world around her. She cherished the scenic drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway, the charm of old country stores, and the thrill of discovering treasures at flea markets. Helen's passion for collecting clocks was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of her appreciation for the moments that make up our lives.

Helen's legacy is one of love, thoughtfulness, and generosity. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and loved, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell to Helen Frances Ham, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that generously loved. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the hands of her cherished clocks continue to mark the passage of time.

Cremation has been chosen and there will be a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Rogers Family Mortuary is in care of arrangements. To leave online condolences, tributes and words of comfort for Helen's family please visit www.RogersFunerals.com.
