Longtime Valley resident Grace Marlene Berlanga, 62, died June 13, 2023 at UC Health in Colorado Springs surrounded by family.

Grace was born in Monte Vista, Colorado on March 19, 1961, the daughter of Felix Maez and Patsy Salazar. She enjoyed more than 30 years with her life companion and partner Ramon Gonzales.

Grace worked in Lapidary and jewelry making. She enjoyed spending time in the mountains, listening to music, cooking and thrift shopping. She also liked to do interior decorating and always took good care of herself and the way she looked. Grace was a gardener and raised both flowers and vegetables. Her most cherished times were spent with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Grace is survived by her mother Patsy (Eulalio Falcon) Garcia of Monte Vista; her life partner Ramon Gonzales of Monte Vista; her children Michelle (Eduardo) Ferrera of Alamosa, Crystal (Olegario) Hernandez of Alamosa, Margarito Berlanga of Monte Vista, Nicole (Valentino) Martinez of Monte Vista, and Adrianna (Samuel) Sariñana of Monte Vista; her grandchildren: Johnny, Marissa, Yesenia, Destiny, Marlene, Kayla, Leelena, Elizabeth, Damian, Kate, Jasmine, Zoey, and Eziquel, her great-grandchildren Nayeli, Amelianna, Jade, Luna, Cruz, Angelo, Moana-Anahi, Makoa-Ramon; siblings Annie (Anthony) Alarid of Grand Junction, CO, Inocensia (Jim) Medina of Monte Vista, CO and Jesus (Paulann) Guerrero of Monte Vista, CO, three half-brothers and one half-sister; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Grace is preceded in death by her father Felix, her brother Felix Maez Jr. and her grandparents Annie and Alejandrino Gonzales.

Cremation was chosen and a Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
