Monte Vista resident Gene Edward Boswell, 73, went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2021. He was born on June 28, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to Fred and Catherine (Briggs) Boswell. He was a longtime member of the Baptist Church. He enjoyed driving the bus for the churches he was involved in.

Gene is survived by his wife of 45 years, Agnes Boswell, his brother Billy Boswell as well as his sisters-in-law Glyndol Boswell and Virginia Boswell and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Lavon Boswell.
