Monte Vista resident Gabriel Andrew Naranjo, 72, passed away on July 10, 2021. He was born on January 17, 1949 in Monte Vista, Colorado to Louis and Lucretia (Ruybal) Naranjo. Gabriel married Andritta Chacon on November 26, 1969 in Del Norte, Colorado. He enjoyed hunting fishing and spreading the Love of Jesus with all he met. He was always willing to help a neighbor or friend.

Gabriel is survived by his wife of 51 years, Andritta Naranjo, his daughters, Amy (Brandon Archuleta) Naranjo of Monte Vista and DeLydia (Patrick) Garcia of Chama, Colorado, his grandchildren, Daimon Naranjo, Lilly Archuleta, and Noah Garcia, his great grandchildren, Carlos Rodriguez and Anayah Rodriguez, his siblings, Morris Naranjo, Delicia Naranjo, Dianna Martinez and Delilah (Hamid Farahani) Naranjo as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Isaac Naranjo, grandchild Chailie Naranjo as well as his siblings, Lawrence Naranjo, Louie Naranjo, James Naranjo and Sidney Naranjo.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday July 14, 2021 at the Rock Creek Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday July 13, 2021 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista. To express condolences, please visit www.rogersfunerals.com
