Donna Danette Alire, affectionately known as Donna to her loved ones, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024, at the age of 61, in her hometown of Del Norte, Colorado. Born on December 10, 1962, in the same close-knit community, Donna's life was a testament to her kind and friendly nature, which touched the lives of everyone she met.

Donna is survived by her devoted spouse, Ruben Garcia of Center, Colorado. Together, they raised a loving family, including their children Daniel Garcia of Colorado Springs, CO, Sirea Garcia (married to Brian Lara) of Center, CO, and Joe Garcia of Alamosa, CO. Donna's joy was multiplied by her cherished grandchildren Hailey, Kamryn, Mikaela, Moriah, Cheyenne, Abrianna, and Mariana, who will forever hold her in their hearts. Donna is preceded in death by her parents; 2 grandchildren; and her siblings Arnold Alire, Joe Alire, Abe Alire, Darlene O'Cana and Cynthia Alire.

She was a beloved sister to Donald (and wife Margaret) Alire of Espanola, N.M., Ronald (and wife Anita) Alire of Aurora, CO, Lorraine Alire of Espanola, N.M., and Alice Molina of Monte Vista, CO. Her warmth extended to her numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members.

Donna's passions were as generous as her spirit. She found joy in cooking and baking for the farmers, a testament to her nurturing soul. Her hands were rarely still, as she delighted in sewing, coloring, and assembling puzzles. Playing BINGO and listening to music were among her favorite pastimes, filling her home with laughter and melodies.

A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. both on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the Assembly of God Church in Center, Colorado. Cremation will follow services.
