La Jara and Capulin, Colorado resident Dolores Lujan, 89, died August 24, 2023 at the Monte Vista Estates Nursing Home in Monte Vista.

Dolores was born on January 16, 1934 in La Jara, Colorado to Christina Romero and Albert Trujillo.

Dolores enjoyed crocheting, playing BINGO, and collecting dolls.

She is survived by her children Bernadine (Joe Martinez) Casias of La Jara, and Robert "Bobby" (Patricia) Medina of Denver, CO; her grandchildren Luis Medina, Paul Casias, Jr., Chad Casias, Kimberly (Iram) Casias, David Casias, Carmen Casias, Robert (Mallory) Medina, Samantha (Tino Garcia) Medina, and Robert Medina; as well as her sister Cecelia Zeis of Florida; her great-grandchildren Maverik, Rowan, Ilah, Lalanie, Noalley, and Vera; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jose Lujan, and her brother Albert Trujillo, Jr.

Cremation was chosen and a Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2023 at the St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Capulin.
