Obituary

With deep sadness we share the passing of our loving Husband, Dad, and Grandpa.

Dick was born October 19, 1953 to Donalane and June (Lawson) Golding in Stratton, NE, where he grew up and graduated from Stratten High School in 1972. He married Lorie (Cobb) Golding June 15, 1973 to which their children, Brian and Stacy, were born. Their family moved to Colorado in 1985 and Dick and Lorie have resided in the South Fork area for the past 16 years.

On June 5th, 2026 Dick passed into the loving arms of his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, for whom he had a strong, unwavering faith and love. He shared his faith in Jesus Christ with others, desiring them to also know him as their Savior and Lord, with God’s Gift of Eternal Life. Dick was a devoted, loving husband, a proud, loving Dad and Grandpa to his family. His 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren were of his greatest pride and joy in life. Through the years Dick had a great passion for fishing and hunting, in which he always reflected his great gratitude for all that God blessed him with, both to enjoy the wonders of God’s creation in the outdoors, as well as God’s provisions for his family. He was a talented craftsman, dedicated to his love for woodworking and taxidermy. He also enjoyed gardening.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Donalane and June Golding; sister, Kathy (Golding) McHugh; and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Lorie Golding; son, Brian Golding and wife, Sabrina; daughter, Stacy Golding and special friend, Nathan Moorer; granddaughter, Kelsey Wilt and husband, Darren; granddaughter Alexandria Plumley and husband, Jacob; Lane Golding and wife, Shelby; granddaughter, Faith Smith and fiancé, Matthew Bedford; 3 great-grandchildren, Rylin, Alyson and Kade Wilt; brother, Dan Golding and wife, Cathie; nephews, nieces, extended family members and friends.

Dick’s family extends their invitation to family and friends to gather in honor and memory for Dick’s Celebration of Life service on Sunday, June 28th at 3:00 pm, at Chapel of the South Fork, 116 Landon Dr., South Fork, CO. A fellowship meal will be provided following the service for fellowship.
