Obituary

Dianna L. Lobato, a beacon of kindness and generosity, passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on August 31, 2025, in Alamosa, Colorado. Born on February 2, 1955, in Monte Vista, Colorado, Dianna's life was characterized by her thoughtfulness and warm, nurturing spirit. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, an adoring grandmother, and a cherished sister, whose presence brought light and love to all who knew her.

Dianna shared a blissful marriage with her beloved husband, Edwin Lobato, who remains in the family home in Alamosa. Their union, which began on September 23, 1992, was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Dianna's legacy continues through her children, David Garcia and Wesley Garcia, both of Alamosa, as well as her precious grandchildren, Taylor, Sean, Wesley Jr., and Christian Garcia. Her life was further enriched by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A lifelong learner, Dianna's passion for helping others led her to attend Adams State College's nursing program. She channeled her Christian faith into service, offering care and comfort to those in need. Dianna's interests reflected the depth and creativity of her soul. An avid gardener, her flowers were a vibrant tapestry of life that mirrored her own blooming heart. In the kitchen, her culinary creations were not just meals but expressions of her love.

Dianna's talents extended to the arts, where she took pleasure in painting, sketching, and handcrafting greeting cards inscribed with heartfelt messages. Her skill as a photographer captured the precious moments that her family will treasure forever. However, it was her role as a grandmother that Dianna cherished most, delighting in every opportunity to envelop her grandchildren in affection and teach them life's simple joys.

Every throw she sewed, every card she crafted, and every photograph she took, reflected the kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness that defined her.

Dianna is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Vicente Archuleta and Filomena Florence Valdez Archuleta, her siblings Elmer Archuleta, Gene Archuleta, her nephews Brad Whitecotton and Darian Ortiz and her first husband Anthony Garcia.
