Longtime resident Dell "Frank" Duran, Jr., 55, died on August 3rd, 2021, at San Luis Valley Hospital in Alamosa, Colorado.
The Man, the Myth, the Legend. From Pac Man to Worker's Comp Insurance, from Landlord to Big Sexy Racing, Frank Duran, was truly a Jack of all trades. Being born on March 9, 1966 in Alamosa Colorado to Dell Frank Duran, Sr. & Kay W. Baker Duran, he was always full of untapped energy. Along with his brothers, Troy & Craig Duran, the Duran household was always full of interesting activities and journeys.
Frank truly loved being around his nephews (Derek, L.T., Shane & Logan) and his nieces (Alicia, Mara & Brandi), whether by blood or what.. If you were in Frank's circle of influence, you were cared for. His close friends (Hector, Denise, Larry, Mark, Crystal, Kim, Jerry & his Dell's Insurance Family) and so many others were also loved by him in his own way.
Frank has always had a love for motorcycles from riding with his brothers and friends to his Harley Davidson Road King with his brother Troy and pals.
At an early age, Frank found that entrepreneurship and business ownership was what made him excited, from the family-owned businesses to his own ventures.
He recently raced at a High Dollar Race in Topeka, Kansas with his racing friend Larry Richardson and his brother Troy Duran. Racing against some of the top bracket racers in the whole country, Frank was able to make the Semi-Finals. If you ever asked Frank why he raced, he would say it is definitely for the experience. He would always tell his friends and Troy that he would "see them at the finish line!"
Frank is survived by his brothers: Troy (Sherry) Duran of Alamosa, and Craig (Donna) Duran of Alamosa; his nephews & nieces: Troy "LT" Duran, Derek Duran, Shane Duran, and Alicia Kay Duran-Ramirez; and his great nephews and niece: Zack, Tommy, Anastasia, and Vincente.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Dell Frank Duran, Sr. & Kay W. Duran. And his niece Mara Rachael Duran.

Please, just know; Frank died alongside his friend Jerry Smith that had always promised never to leave his side. Frank was at peace with himself and the world he is leaving.
