Alamosa resident Cory E. Atencio, 31, passed away on April 19, 2022. He was born on July 25, 1990 in Alamosa, Colorado to Erold and Joyce (Cisneros) Atencio. Cory enjoyed riding with his dad in show cars, listening to Spanish music, especially Selena, he looked forward to the 4th of July and cherished spending time with his nephews and niece.

He is survived by his parents, his brother Caylum (Michele Mascarenas) Atencio, his niece Kaylee and his nephews Chris and Johnathan as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Cory was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Ruby Atencio and Gilbert and Eufelia Cisneros.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday April 26, 2022 at the Our Lady of The Valley Catholic Church in La Jara.
