Obituary

Alamosa resident Cara Michele Vollman-Boucher, 49, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024, in Alamosa, Colorado. Born on June 27, 1974, in Dayton, Ohio, Cara lived a life that was as melodious and harmonious as the music she adored. Her gentle presence and thoughtful nature made her a cherished soul in the lives of all who knew her.

Cara's early years in Dayton were the foundation of a life marked by love and service. She inherited a legacy of strength and resilience from her parents, Michael Vollman, who preceded her in death, and Laquetta Vogt, who resides in Alamosa. Her grandparents, Herman and Patsy Vollman, as well as Howard and Pauline Batdorf, passed on values and traditions that Cara held dear throughout her life.

Cara's own family was the center of her world. She was a loving and devoted mother to her daughter, Alexis Rodriguez of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and her son, Angelo Rodriguez and his wife, Brittany, also of Bowling Green. Her children remember her as the epitome of love and kindness, a mother who guided them with intelligence and a listening ear. Her family extended to her adored aunt, Barb Miller, and her husband, Doug, of Kettering, Ohio.

Those who knew Cara remember her as a person who truly embodied love in action. She was a friend who was always there, ready to listen without judgment and offer support without reservation. Her ability to connect with people was unmatched, and she left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Cara was also a great cook, whose culinary creations were an expression of her love and creativity.

Her intelligence shone through in every aspect of her life, from the way she solved problems to the insightful advice she generously shared. Cara's kindness was a constant, as she was genuinely nice to everyone she encountered. Her thoughtfulness was reflected in the careful consideration she gave to the feelings and needs of others.

Cara's love for animals mirrored her expansive heart. She cared for all creatures with a tenderness that was truly inspiring. Her interests were as varied as they were passionate, with a particular fondness for music. The melodies of country and classical genres were the soundtrack to her life, providing comfort, joy, and an outlet for her emotions.

As we say farewell to Cara Michele Vollman-Boucher, we are reminded of the beauty and grace she brought into our lives. Her spirit will continue to inspire us to be more compassionate, to listen more intently, and to love more freely. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the indelible mark she has left on our hearts.

Cara's life will be honored and remembered in the hearts of her cherished family, her multitude of friends, and all the lives she touched with her extraordinary spirit. Her journey on this earth may have concluded, but the echoes of her love will resonate forever. Rest in peace, dear Cara, until we meet again. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Kentucky.
