Throughout his journey, Carter served his country in the Army, a wildland firefighter for the forest service, and as a county advocate for disadvantaged kids. Carter excelled in writing and was working on publishing his own book. His dedication to being an advocate for the protection of kids was truly inspiring, and he approached every endeavor with enthusiasm and grace. Carter's warm heart and generous nature endeared him to many, and he will be deeply missed by friends, colleagues, and loved ones alike.

Carter is survived by his wife Ravelle and daughter Lyla, and his loved siblings Robert, Dianne, and Debbie who will forever treasure the memories they shared. A celebration of Carter's life will be held on August 19th at 10:30 Blanca Cemetery in Blanca CO 81123, where friends and family can come together to honor his remarkable legacy.
