Lifetime Center resident Billy "Balls" J. Marques, 64, died April 4, 2021 at the River Valley Inn nursing home in Del Norte. Billy was born in Center, Colorado on March 13, 1957 the loving son to Juan Marques and Stella Garcia Marques. He worked for many years in and around the Center area as a Skilled Laborer and worked in various jobs such as sheep shearing, potato and lettuce farming. He was very self sufficient and lived his life in his own way and on his own terms. He was known to be very gutsy and didn't shy away from a challenge. Billy is survived by his partner and companion Loretta Herrera of Center; his siblings Dorothy Archuleta of Colorado Springs, Barbara Marques of Center, Rick Marques of Pagosa Springs, and Tammy (Gino) Zamora of Center; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Juan Marques and Duane Marques; his sisters Stella Marques and Peggy Rubalcava.
