Arlene Michelle Garrett, 59, passed away on January 2, 2026, in Alamosa, Colorado. Born on August 15, 1966, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Clifford Davis Jr. and Darlene Beard, Arlene's life was a testament to her strength, love, and unwavering work ethic.

Arlene's journey began in the heart of Michigan, but her adventurous spirit and dedication to her career as a truck driver never faltered. Recently she stayed closer to home driving for Asphalt Constructors Inc. Her passion for her work was evident to all who knew her; Arlene was the epitome of a dedicated hard worker, with her life revolving around her job.

Despite her busy career, Arlene's greatest joy was found in the time she spent with her family. She is survived by her loving son, Richard (Kelli) Bonne of Wichita Falls, Texas, and her dear mother, Darlene Beard of Alamosa. Arlene's legacy continues through her six grandchildren: Ciara Bonne, Jadynn Bonne, Kaitlynn Howard, Richard Bonne the 5th, Jacob Lasley, and Zack Lasley, as well as her cherished great-grandchild, Harley. She also leaves behind her beloved uncle, James "Jimmy" Beard of Texas, her sister, Theresa Jewell of Durango, CO, her brother, Richard Fortney of Alamosa, CO; fellow drivers and work family over at ACI and numerous cousins and nephews, all of whom will miss her deeply.

Arlene's love for the outdoors was no secret, as she found solace and pleasure in fishing. Her moments by the water were times of reflection and relaxation, a contrast to her busy work life. These quiet times were cherished and offered balance to her life.
