It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Allen Entz on June 21, 2026 at the age of 70. A beloved husband, dedicated farmer, and lifelong resident of Monte Vista, Colorado, Allen leaves behind a legacy of love and hard work that will not be forgotten.
Born on March 23, 1956, Allen lived a life rich with passion and purpose. He found strength in his faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Allen’s connection to the land was profound. As a farmer, he poured his heart into cultivating the fields and raising the cattle that sustained him and his family. Those who had the privilege of knowing Allen will remember his kind heart, strong work ethic, and unwavering support for family and friends. In his leisure time, Allen enjoyed fishing and spending time in the mountains.
Allen leaves behind his beloved spouse, Velvet Entz, who was not only a partner but also his closest friend and confidante. Allen is also survived by his loving sons Ryan Entz and Evan Entz; his siblings Phyllis Taylor and Wilma (Ken) Green; his niece Sherilyn Matzke, and his great nephews and niece Dylan, Johnathan and Madison.
Allen is preceded in death by his parents, W. Raymond Entz and Lora Marie Entz (Roberts), and his nephew Ray Green.
A memorial of his life will take place at the Alamosa Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 1:30 pm.
