La Jara resident, Alice Lorraine Livingstone, 71, died May 5, 2023 at her home in La Jara, surrounded by her loving family under hospice care.

Alice was born in Brush, Colorado on December 20, 1951, the daughter of John (Jack) and Lorraine Vance. She married Allan W. Livingstone at the United Church of La Jara in La Jara, Colorado on January 29, 1972.

Alice graduated from Bethel School of Nursing in Colorado Springs with a degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked for over 40 years as a nurse at Conejos County Hospital in La Jara. She was active in the United Church of La Jara and served on many church boards, sang in community choirs, and volunteered with many children's programs. This extended outside the church as well, with her service on numerous community positions. Alice was a Cub Scout leader, a Girl Scout leader, was on the board of Noah's Ark Day Care, and a 4-H leader. She also served on several boards at the hospital. Her love was shown by constantly giving back to others.

Alice is survived by her husband Allan Livingstone of La Jara, CO; her children Steven (Mary) Livingstone of La Jara, CO, Kevin Livingstone of La Jara, CO, Rebecca (Matt) Mullins of Yoder, KS, Andrew (Adrian) Livingstone of La Jara, CO; 11 grandchildren: Sarah, Joshua, Rebecca, Faith, Isaiah, Denton, Collier, Chase, Conan, Conley, and Cole; 6 great-grandchildren: Jaelyn, Juliannah, Nei'eli, Jenna, James, and Legacy; her siblings Terry (Georgia) Vance of La Jara, CO, Kathy (Jim) Larimore of Arvada, CO, Sam (Debbie) Vance of La Jara, CO, Randy (Laura) Vance of Pueblo, CO; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Jamie Lorel Livingstone; her parents, Jack and Lorraine Vance; her in- laws, Bertrum and Eleanore Livingstone; her sister, Jacki Martin; her brothers in-law Doug Livingstone and Richard Livingstone; and a nephew Duane Martin.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2023 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Manassa, and Monday, May 15, 2023 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the United Church of La Jara. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2023 at the United Church of La Jara. Interment will follow services in the La Jara Cemetery.
