William “Bill” Stewart Carver, 88, passed away February 4, 2016 in Monte Vista.
Bill was born July 28, 1927 in Three Sands, Oklahoma to Hobart and Stella Stewart Carver. He married Emma Young in Chama, New Mexico on July 1, 1947. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Bessie Gonzales, his half-brothers Lee and Bobby Miler, his half-sister and his grandson Von Funk.
Bill worked as an Electrician and owned and operated a laundromat in Albuquerque before retiring and moving to Mosca in 1996 to be closer to family.
Bill is survived by his wife Emma, his daughters Barbara Robinson and husband Dave of Chehalis, Washington, Darbara “Darby” Funk and husband Joe of Mosca, CO, and his son Daniel Carver and wife Brenda of Las Cruces, NM; his grandchildren Amber Gibson, Joleen Castleberry, Jennifer Gagner, Shara Myers, Karen Apodaca, Julie Kumpp, Shane Carver, Bill, Michael, Jessica, Justin, Kathryn, Samantha, Kaitlynne Robinson, Cody and Mariha Smith, Hunter and Mercedes Douglas.
A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 9th and Wednesday, Feb. 10th from 10-11:00 am at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 10th at 11:00 a.m. also at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. Interment will follow services in the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Thursday, February 11, 2016.
