Center – Longtime Center resident Vivian Janice Reed, 74, passed away on December 1, 2015. She was born on June 30, 1941 to Cecil and Kathryn Todd in the San Luis Valley in Colorado.

Janice graduated from Adams State College in Alamosa with a degree in business. She married Larry Reed in Monte Vista, Colorado on April 24, 1982. She enjoyed sewing and baking, she was very proud of her many ribbons from the tri county fair as well as bowling, traveling and taking time away from the farm for an afternoon with Larry, picnicking in the mountains. She was a member of the Monte Vista United Methodist Church and the P.E.O. Chapter HQ

She is survived by her husband, Larry Reed, her brother Glenn Todd of Monte Vista, her aunt Wanda Decker of La Jara as well as numerous cousins and extended loving family.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and numerous aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday December 5, 2015 at the Monte Vista United Methodist Church. A private family burial has taken place in the Monte Vista Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to Hospice Del Valle or to the Monte Vista United Methodist Church and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
