Obituary for Teresita D Sanchez

Teresita D Sanchez
Lifetime San Luis Valley resident Teresa D. Sanchez, 95, passed away on May 7, 2017. She was born in Los Sausces, Colorado on April 19, 1922 to Juan and Eulalia Marquez. After marrying Lee Sanchez they remained in the San Luis Valley to raise their children.

The most important thing in Teresita’s life was family, she loved being surrounded by loved ones chatting and enjoying each other’s company.

Teresa is survived by her son, Robert Gene Sanchez of Manitou Springs, Colorado. Her sister Carmen (John) Chavez of La Jara, Colorado. Her brother, John (Georgeanna) Marquez of Pueblo, Colorado. As well as numerous other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Juan and Eulalia Marquez. Her loving husband, Lee G. Sanchez Sr. Her sons, Lee G. Sanchez Jr., and Joe G. Sanchez. And her daughter, Maria Christella Spurr.

Cremation has been chosen and entrusted to Rogers Family Mortuary of Alamosa. Private family services will be held at a later date.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers if contributions be made to the Evergreen Nursing Home in Alamosa, Colorado.
