Obituary for Stuart Robins

La Jara resident Stuart Noel Robins, 61, passed away on November 1, 2017. He was born on January 16, 1956 in Alamosa, Colorado. Stuart was a very private person and he enjoyed gardening, silversmithing and for many years he was an airplane mechanic. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. He was a longtime member of the Alamosa Masonic Lodge #44 AF and AM as well as The Order of Eastern Star #43 Sierra Blanca.

Stuart is survived by his children, Jason (Britney) Robins of Alamosa, Leslie Robins of Spokane, Washington, Dusty Robins of Australia and Rachael Mays as well as five grandchildren, his companion Julie Smith, his parents, Evelyn and John “Foster” Carr, his siblings, Gary (Michele) Robins, William Robins, Gail Robins, Thomas (Michelle) Robins and John (Gina) Carr as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father William Frank Robins, Jr.

Cremation was selected and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday November 24, 2017 at the Manassa Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Inurnment will follow services in the Manassa Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the Semper Fi Foundation and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
